What is a OBD 2 DLC Port and have I got one?
Chances are your car does have one! The OBD 2 (On-Board Diagnostic systems) can be found in most cars as well as light trucks on the road today. During the 1970's and early 1980's car manufacturers started using electronic means to command engine functions and diagnose engine problems. This was primarily to meet EPA emission standards. Through the years on-board diagnostic systems have become more sophisticated. OBD-II, a new standard introduced in the mid-90s, provides almost complete engine control and also monitors parts of the chassis, body and accessory devices, as well as the diagnostic control network of the car.

Locating Your Cars OBD2 is Easy
Usually the OBD2 Port is located near your cars fuse box under the dash (light fuses etc..) The best place to start looking is here, you may need to open a small hatch to find the fuses. If the OBD2 is not here, simply have a look near the bonnet hatch or under the steering wheel. There is a FREE database of DLC locations available form ODC Clearing House. If in doubt, check with your vehicle manufacture or handbook. [ search ]
How Do I get started?
You can purchase the device of our website, upon receiving the product. You shall then proceed to GOTRACK.com.au to register your product and choose which plan you would like to use ($30/month or $299/year)
Connector (DLC)
The OBD II port’s physical connector is called the Data Link Connector (DLC). It is a 16-pin plug thats usually located under the dashboard near the steering wheel. (The standard specifies that the connector must be within three feet of the driver.)When searching for your DLC, remember that a three foot sphere around the driver is pretty large, and the port may actually be on the passengers side.

GOTRACKs advanced system uses the latest Microsoft Silverlight software to bring feature rich, vibrant images to any PC or MAC with an internet connection.>
