What is a Laser Jammer System?
A diffuser or police jammers are very simple but also sophisticated technology, as you are probably aware of; apart from radar speed cameras, police are now commonly using a Handheld Laser (LIDAR) guns to measure your speed. And now with the introduction of the Vitronic Poliscan, LIDAR(Laser) is becoming the primary method of speed enforcement. These devices work in a similar but different way to radar by using concentrated light instead of EM waves. The laser gun works by recording the time it takes a burst of infra red light to reach a car, bounce off and return back to the starting point (the gun).
Laser Jammers are a device which produces a light beam of its own. When you car is target by a laser system, the laser guns receiver cannot recognise any reflected light off your car, therefore cant get a clear speed reading. BLINDER Parking Sensor devices may cause a laser gun to not be able to obtain a speed reading as they run on the same legal light spectrum of ~904nm, this is why they come with an 4 second auto shut-off when interference with the parking system occurs. It is important you buy a good quality laser jammer which has been tested over and over to guarantee you a quality product, cheaper laser jammers will activate anti-jammer jamming codes on laser guns which will inform the policeman you are using a laser jammer. BLINDER Parking sensor systems do not activate any jamming codes, as they are not primarily a laser jammer.

Do I need a Laser Jammer?
Well the decision is up to you and how much you value your license. If you currently own a radar detector and not a laser jammer, then you are gambling with your license, as radar detectors do not protect against laser. They simply only alert to laser (not all the time either). A Laser hand held gun will instantly record a vehicles speed 9/10 times within half a second. Slower readings are also obtained due to certain factors such as sunlight or the colour of your car. If you are using a radar detector and you receive a laser alert, chances are the officer already has you speed and will be writing you a ticket. When the ignition is turned on, the upstart self-test function (STF) will tell you that the BLINDER is ready. BLINDER is on stand-by until a police laser gun or one of the automatically photo laser speed traps hits the car. Now the BLINDER starts to do its job.
The Laser Warning System (LWS) tells the driver, that a laser gun is operating near him. He may want to slow down. The Infra Red Detectors transmit the incoming laser pulse frequency to the built-in computer. The optimal jamming pulse (APS) is now selected.
